Ingredients
  

  • 1 cups Water Filtered preferred
  • 1 tbsp Fresh grated ginger Peel before grating
  • 1 whole Lemon Sliced seeds removed
  • 1 tbsp Honey (optional) Add for taste after straining

Equipment

  • 1 Saucepan or Kettle For boiling
  • 1 Tea Strainer For filtering
  • 1 Cup or Mug For serving

Method
 

  1. Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a saucepan.
  2. Add grated ginger and lemon slices to the boiling water.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Turn off the heat and let it rest for 2 minutes.
  5. Strain the tea into cups.
  6. Add honey if desired, stir, and enjoy warm.

Notes

  • Best consumed fresh in the morning.
  • You can refrigerate leftovers for up to 24 hours.
  • Always strain well to avoid ginger bits in your drink.
