Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups Water Filtered preferred
  • 2 tsp Dried dandelion root Roasted or raw
  • 2 tsp Dried peppermint leaves Crushed slightly
  • 1 tsp Lemon juice (optional) Adds brightness and vitamin C boost

Equipment

  • 1 Saucepan or Kettle For boiling
  • 1 Tea Strainer To filter herbs
  • 1 Teacup or Glass For serving

Method
 

  1. In a saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
  2. Add dried dandelion root and peppermint leaves.
  3. Lower heat and let simmer for 7 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and steep for 5 minutes.
  5. Strain into mugs.
  6. Add lemon juice if using. Serve hot or warm.

Notes

  • Dandelion root has natural diuretic properties, so drink in moderation.
  • If pregnant or on medications (especially diuretics or blood pressure meds), consult a doctor before using dandelion tea.
  • Roasted dandelion root gives a richer, slightly nutty flavor, while raw keeps it earthy and mild.
  • Peppermint aids digestion and freshens breath — also helpful if drinking after a heavy meal.
