Ingredients
  

  • 2 Packages crescent rolls Refrigerated, 8-count per pack
  • 1 lb Boudin sausage Removed from casing
  • 1 cup Shredded cheddar cheese Optional for cheesy filling
  • 1 Egg Beaten for egg wash
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning Optional for topping or inside
  • Green onions Chopped optional garnish
  • Hot sauce For serving

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Remove boudin sausage from casing and crumble into a pan. Warm slightly if desired.
  3. Roll out crescent dough and press seams together to form a single sheet.
  4. Spoon boudin sausage down the center, sprinkle with cheese (optional).
  5. Fold dough over to encase the filling and shape into a ring. Pinch seams to seal.
  6. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with Cajun seasoning.
  7. Bake for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Let rest for 5 minutes, garnish with green onions, and serve with hot sauce.

Notes

  • You can use puff pastry instead of crescent rolls for a flakier crust.
  • Add diced jalapeños inside the filling for an extra kick.
  • This dish is best served warm but can be reheated in a toaster oven or air fryer.
